Charlotte - a New Free Maya Rig!

Digital artist Ahmed Elmatarawi has just released his newest baby - Charlotte - a free Maya rig available for student and non-commercial use around the world. We haven't tested it yet, but the video below takes you through the rig in detail, and we look forward to seeing what our students can do with her. One of the great benefits of working in Maya is its growing user base, bringing us new and better animation rigs for student use all the time. So who and what is Charlotte?

To see how she works in detail, watch the video below.

What are the terms of her license?
Users may use the rig "for practice and for educational purposes". Students may use the Charlotte rig to "show your work in your demo reel, portfolio, on your website, etc." But, you may not use her "for financial gain". This includes "short films, movies, and commercials".

Who should you credit?
The Charlotte rig can only be used when credit is given for its creator - Ahmed Elmatarawi.

What else is forbidden?
The rig is not allowed for "Immoral material".  This includes "sexual imagery, extreme violence, racism, or otherwise immoral content".
