Animation Industry Booms Under Lockdown

"Trolls on Tour" earned $100m on streaming devices
According to a recent piece in The Guardian, the animation industry is thriving despite the Corona Lockdown.

Unlike live action shoots, which have been shut down due to Covid-19, the animation industry is expanding, as programmers scramble to replace live-action content with animation.

Animation thrives
The reason, of course, is that animators can and do work alone, from home, just as we are doing now at Bucks.  We've had considerable success moving our undergraduate teaching online, and of course our Online MA in 3D Animation has always been a purely online course.

Pitching animation
For anyone developing fresh animation content, now is a great time to polish your pitch - and get it out there. Our students don't just learn to animate, they are also creating and pitching fresh ideas, creating new characters and telling new stories.

For more on the experience of studying at Bucks New University, come and visit us at one of our Open Days, take a virtual tour of one of our animation studios, check out what our students think of our course, and see why we're ranked in the top 12 creative universities in the UK.
