Free Storyboarding Event in London Feb 22nd

Francesca "Chess" Adams
Storyboarding is one of the most competitive but also one of the most rewarding parts of the pre-production process. It's where drawing meets storytelling, and no animation project can get made without it.

A great board artist needs to draw well, to understand cameras, cutting, characters, emotions, and acting. Not surprisingly, it's an area where there is a significant skills shortage - good board artists are very much in demand.
Next week at Escape Studios in London the very talented storyboard artist Francesca "Chess" Adams will be talking about her work as a storyboard artist at Blue Zoo, working on TV series such as "Digby Dragon".

The storyboard process starts with drawings, but increasingly board artists are using tech such as Panelforge and Storyboarder,  free software that helps to speed up the process and get faster, better results.

This "Evening with..." event is also a chance for students to catch up with industry professionals, find out how the industry works, and also - of course - enjoy some free beer and pizza. We recommend that all our students at Bucks attend events like this one, to take full advantage of all the opportunities that London offers to network, gather information, and build connections in our industry.

Where and when?
The event takes place on the evening of Wednesday 22nd February at 6.30 pm at Escape Studios' Shepherds Bush campus. Address: The Shepherds West Building, Rockley Rd, London W14 0DA
