Animation Career Webinar with Max Howard

Max Howard
Veteran animation producer and Hollywood studio executive Max Howard, will be appearing in a webinar on Tuesday 19th May from 11am -1pm.

In this free event Max Howard, who last visited our animation students at Bucks back in 2014, will talk about some of the most important ingredients for a successful career in animation, such as the importance of understanding story, and the art of the pitch.

Max will also discuss the state of the animation industry post-Covid 19. The virus is bad news for us all, but while live action shoots remain shut down, animation continues to flourish.

About Max Howard
Max Howard
Max Howard is a film producer and studio executive who has set up and run animation studios for Walt Disney Feature Animation in London, Paris, Orlando and Los Angeles.  In the late 1990s he was president of Warner Bros. Feature Animation; his studio producing credits include Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Igor.

Max also runs two independent film companies, Melwood Pictures, and the Max Howard Consulting Group. He has an honourary Doctorate of Arts from Teesside University, and is the Chancellor of Middlesbrough Children's University.  In 2015 Max started working In China on a regular basis for the DeTao Group, where he runs Melwood Pictures at DeTao, and is developing animated feature films based on Chinese content.
