Last Chance to Register for Cartoon Business!

Cartoon Business
Cartoon Business is the finance and business counterpart to Cartoon Movie and Cartoon Forum. If you are interested in the business side of producing animation, but don't know how to assemble, package and sell an animated TV series or feature film, then Cartoon Business is the place to learn. Supported by MEDIA, the EU fund for the creative industries, and backed by the French Government, Cartoon Business will walk you through all the steps needed to bring your ideas to the market. And you don't even need to speak French - the event is conducted in English, the international language of media and animation.

There are two weeks to go until Cartoon Business starts, and a few days left to register. According to Cartoon, this year's programme consists of:

"strategic thinking, presentations of new business opportunities, case studies and experts’ advice in these areas. A panel of 28 international speakers (leading broadcasters, VOD platforms, finance specialists, book publishers, investors, distributors and well-known producers) will share their expertise in order to help you incorporate other sources of financing, innovative development and business models, through new economic partnerships".

Cartoon describes the event as"

"An ideal place for networking, Cartoon Business will also host several activities in a relaxed atmosphere: wine tasting during the welcome dinner at Château Lafitte, a cocktail at Château Saint-Emilion, and the Farewell dinner at the Café Maritime.
100 animation professionals have already confirmed their attendance and will exchange on new financing and business models for TV series. Be one of them! Cartoon Business is open to all professionals."

It goes without saying that a trip to Bordeaux is rarely wasted, the chance to try the local wines alone would be enough to get me there in a hurry.

France's Atlantic coast is one of her greatest splendours, longer (and arguably more beautiful) than the Mediterranean coastline - and much less visited.
