The Interview Process at Bucks
Dave Creighton and I have been interviewing candidates today at Bucks New University, and we are delighted with the high standard of the applicants for our new Animation and VFX course. Almost all of our interviewees have strong artistic and digital skills, the crucial combination for a successful career in the digital arts.
One applicant has already begun to design, build and market his own games - an excellent start for anyone looking for a career in the games industry. Being able to take a project all the way through from concept to final delivery is one of the biggest challenges that anyone faces in the industry and this kind of experience is extremely valuable.
What do we look for in a candidate for the course? Creativity, a sense of design, a good level of comfort with computers, but most of all a passion to work in digital media and a desire to commit the necessary hours to do excellent work.
