Why Animation Graduates Still Need a CV


Do animators still need a cv or resume? We think so. Animators still need a cv because employers will need a brief summary of all the relevant detail about your skills, academic qualifications, citizenship (this matters for your right to work), job history and - crucially - all your contact details. Contact details should include your email address, your phone number - and also your physical address.

Eight Rules for a Great CV

CV stands for Curriculum Vitae - in Latin, the story of your life. In the USA it's known as a résumé. Whatever the name, its purpose is to summarise your education, life history and skills as clearly and concisely as possible, and to put the best possible gloss on your achievements.  

Employers will expect to see a CV, so it's worth spending some time on it to get it right.  Once you've done it, all you need do is edit it regularly and update it.  Below are some rules for putting together a good CV.
